My 50+ year career has been a journey. It started with a B.S. degree in Horticulture from Michigan State (Go Green!) to being the Business Manager of Speech and Voice Therapy Center, LLC and as Operations Manager of Greater Boston Home Team. Now, as the Founder and Owner of Micro Business Insights.
At 24, my business partner and I started a lawn maintenance business (Treemendous Landscaping), which we sold six years later.
As the owner of Homefinders Buyer Agency, I was one of the first buyer agents in the Boston, MA area. To grow the business, I created revenue and business development strategies involving lead generation, customer relationship development, referrals, reciprocal professional collaborations, networking, memberships, internet marketing, and direct mail marketing.
As President of the Massachusetts Association of Buyer Agents (MABA), with the help of the Board of Directors, we replaced the ineffective print advertising campaign with an Internet lead generation strategy, co-developed the massbuyeragents.org website, which, if you can believe it, is still active decades later.
The highlight of my time on the Board of Trustees for Village II Condominiums was leveraging $2M from the Town of Mansfield to fund a renovated sewage system for the town’s largest residential development. The initiative included provisions to protect the town’s drinking water, address flooding by undamming a tributary of the Canoe River, improve traffic flow via redirected roadways, and provide 20 acres of salable and taxable land for development.
I offer you my leadership experience so you can be a better leader, have the skills you will need to run a small organization with employees and give you the systems to create and grow a business successfully.
My goal with this website is to share my successes and failures with you so you can apply this knowledge to your business career.
